A Macefield Ventures Mozambique pretende recrutar um (1) Procurement Officer para Maputo.

Reports to: Procurement Manager

Role Purpose:

Macefield Ventures Mozambique is seeking a Procurement Officer to join its team in Maputo. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of goods, services, and works, ensuring compliance with internal policies and Mozambican legislation, while guaranteeing transparency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Note: Proficiency in English is a mandatory requirement; candidates not fluent in English will be automatically disqualified.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and implement procurement processes for goods, services, and works.
• Receive and review purchase requisitions from various departments.
• Prepare requests for quotations, conduct competitive bidding, and evaluate supplier proposals.
• Prepare comparative analyses and recommend supplier selection.
• Manage and maintain a database of reliable suppliers and service providers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Draft, review, and monitor supply and service contracts to ensure compliance.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and Mozambican legislation.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all procurement transactions.
• Provide regular reports on procurement activities and market trends.
• Support audits by ensuring transparency and accountability in all procurement processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or related field.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or related functions.
• Solid understanding of procurement processes, procedures, and regulations.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement management systems. Fluency in Portuguese and mandatory fluency in English.
